Manchester on Film

The second batch of images from my most recent foray into film photography, shot on Ilford HP5 with my Nikon FM2 in February during a walk along the Bridgewater Canal from Castlefield in Manchester to Salford Quays.

The negatives were processed by Harman Labs., then scanned and further processed in Adobe Lightroom.

To London and Tate Britain yesterday for the Don McCullin exhibition. But first a stroll through Borough Market on our way from London Bridge station, taking in a coffee stop. Thence through Blackfriars and over Lambeth Bridge to the gallery. I thoroughly recommend the exhibition - dozens of amazing, thought-provoking and at times harrowing black and white prints, simply yet beautifully presented with concise but informative contextual notes. It was gratifying to learn of a shared beginning in photography - a Rolleicord and no exposure meter. There though I fear any similarity ends. Borough Market Bakery.
