Sale RUFC in action in April 1988. Huw Thomas with the ball with no. 13 Phil Stansfield assisting. Subsequently (via Facebook comments) identified Martin Callery with the elbow in his head and Mike Kendrick at the back.
Anyone recognise the opposition shirt or any of the other players? Shot on Kodacolor VR 400 colour negative film. A grittier black and white version below.

To London and Tate Britain yesterday for the Don McCullin exhibition. But first a stroll through Borough Market on our way from London Bridge station, taking in a coffee stop. Thence through Blackfriars and over Lambeth Bridge to the gallery. I thoroughly recommend the exhibition - dozens of amazing, thought-provoking and at times harrowing black and white prints, simply yet beautifully presented with concise but informative contextual notes. It was gratifying to learn of a shared beginning in photography - a Rolleicord and no exposure meter. There though I fear any similarity ends. Borough Market Bakery.
