Leonardslee Gardens

We visited the newly reopened Leonardslee Gardens with our friends Hilary and Graham (seen in the final photograph) over the weekend.
An impressive variety of green shades were on view and a few of the azaleas and rhododendrons open. It will be well worth another visit in few weeks' time. Clearly an equally impressive amout of investment in time and money has gone in to restoring the gardens after several years of neglect.

To London and Tate Britain yesterday for the Don McCullin exhibition. But first a stroll through Borough Market on our way from London Bridge station, taking in a coffee stop. Thence through Blackfriars and over Lambeth Bridge to the gallery. I thoroughly recommend the exhibition - dozens of amazing, thought-provoking and at times harrowing black and white prints, simply yet beautifully presented with concise but informative contextual notes. It was gratifying to learn of a shared beginning in photography - a Rolleicord and no exposure meter. There though I fear any similarity ends. Borough Market Bakery.
